Worth Knowing Valuations LLC

What This Means

In plain terms:

I provide thoughtful, independent valuation opinions based on current market research and professional judgment. These valuations are meant to help you understand an item’s place in today’s market — not to guarantee a sale price or replace a certified insurance appraisal.

Values may be expressed as ranges, and real-world outcomes can vary depending on timing, venue, and demand.

After reviewing your request, I’ll let you know whether it’s within scope, along with estimated fees and timing, before any work begins.

1. Nature of Services

Worth Knowing Valuations LLC provides independent, market-informed valuation opinions based on research, comparable sales, professional judgment, and available information at the time of review.

Services do not constitute certified appraisals, formal insurance appraisals, or legal testimony unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.

2. No Certified Appraisal Relationship

Valuations provided by Worth Knowing Valuations LLC:

  • Are not USPAP-certified appraisals

  • Are not guaranteed replacement values

  • Are not intended for court, tax filings, or insurance underwriting unless expressly agreed to in writing

Clients are responsible for determining whether a certified appraisal is required for their specific use case.

3. Valuation Ranges & Market Variability

Valuations may be expressed as ranges rather than fixed prices.

Clients acknowledge that:

  • Market conditions fluctuate

  • Demand, venue, timing, and buyer behavior affect realized prices

  • Actual resale or auction outcomes may differ from valuation estimates

No valuation constitutes a promise or guarantee of sale price.

4. Reliance on Client-Provided Information

Valuations are based in part on:

  • Photographs

  • Descriptions

  • Provenance or history as provided by the client

Worth Knowing Valuations LLC is not responsible for inaccuracies arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or omitted information.

5. Condition, Authenticity & Attribution

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Items are assumed to be authentic as represented

  • No destructive testing or laboratory analysis is performed

  • Condition assessments are visual and non-invasive

Questions of authenticity, attribution, or material composition may require specialized testing beyond the scope of standard valuation services.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Worth Knowing Valuations LLC’s liability is limited to the fee paid for the specific service rendered

  • No responsibility is assumed for consequential, incidental, or secondary losses related to use of valuation information

7. Fees & Engagement

Submission of an intake form does not constitute an engagement.

An engagement begins only after:

  • Scope is confirmed

  • Fees and timeline are agreed to

  • Any required payment is received

Worth Knowing Valuations LLC reserves the right to decline requests outside scope or expertise.

8. Confidentiality

All client information and materials are treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing valuation services, unless disclosure is required by law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a valuation request through this website, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Disclaimer.

11. Severability

If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
